This article describes how to obtain a link which not only goes to a particular lesson, but also to a particular problem or math note within the lesson. Teachers may want to place these links on a Google Doc or other file to "guide" students through a learning progression. NOTE: Students will need to be logged into their eBooks before clicking on any of these links!!
1. Copy the URL from any lesson in your eBook.
- Go to the lesson in the eBook.
- Highlight the URL in the browser bar.
2. Append the problem number or Math Note to the URL.
- At the end of the URL add: #
- For a problem number: Add the problem number complete with the hyphen: <chapter number>-<problem number> . Example: #2-26 (OR)
- For a Math Note: Add at the end of the URL, #notes, so that the link goes to the Math Notes of the lesson.
- DO NOT ADD ANY SPACES OR PUNCTUATION AT THE END!
Now copy the entire URL.
3. Test Your Link!!!
- Open a new window or tab on your browser.
- Paste your link in the browser bar and return.
- Check to make sure that the lesson opens to the intended problem. Note: if the problem is toward the end of the page, it will appear on the page but not necessarily at the top.
4. Add your link to a digital document.

The directions below show how to add a link to a Google doc. Other applications are similar in how links can be added. The best you can do is the method above.
- Type the place you want students to go to.
- Highlight the intended link description. Right click to get the option to Link. Select Link.
- Paste the URL and Apply.
- The link is now blue indicating that it is a hyperlink.
